Description
By G.H. (George Hawkins) Pember (1837–1910). Pember, educated at Cambridge University, was an English theologian and author affiliated with the Plymouth Brethren. A lifetime devoted to a close and comprehensive study of the Scriptures left a rich legacy of reclaimed truth, upon which subsequent reformers such as J.N. Darby, Watchman Nee, G.H. Lang and T. Austin-Sparks would build. Although God’s Earliest Ages is lined with considerable traditional doctrine held by the Brethren, nonetheless this classic work has value in that it presents the first chapter of Genesis as an account of God restoring or recreating the world after the collapse of the original creation. This is a Facsimile of the 1889 Fifth Edition. 524 pages. PB.
