By Heinrich Langenberg (1876-1972). This short and rather intimate epistle of Paul the apostle to Philemon might almost be regarded as an appendix to Colossians. Langenberg was born in Bremen Germany and studied theology in Basel. He pastored several Evangelical Free Churches, afterwards becoming an evangelist and prolific author. He had an in-depth knowledge of ancient Hebrew and Greek, which served him well as one of A.E. Knoch’s early research assistants on the Concordant Version. He founded Scripture Mission in Berlin, and was well known among German believers as one who stood for the reconciliation of all. 54 pages, facsimile paperback.
